Inputs to verify
- Residual crush measurements at documented stations.
- Original profile, direct-damage width, and measurement spacing.
- Appropriate A and B stiffness coefficients or supported equivalents.
- Overlap, induced damage, end shifts, and areas not represented by the model.
Crush energy represents modeled deformation work. It is not automatically the total collision energy or either vehicle's pre-impact kinetic energy.
